Cybermatch helps organisations hire cybersecurity experts in Switzerland: CISOs, SOC analysts, GRC consultants, pentesters and security architects. We approach candidates directly, including those who are not actively looking, with a recruiter specialised in each discipline.
Switzerland applies neither the NIS 2 Directive nor the GDPR, but its own rules. The revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) has been in force since 1 September 2023.
Since 1 April 2025, operators of critical infrastructure must report cyberattacks to the Federal Office for Cybersecurity (NCSC) within 24 hours. Fines have applied since 1 October 2025.
In banking, FINMA Circular 2023/1 “Operational risks and resilience – banks” notably governs the management of cyber risks.
The result: Swiss employers look for profiles who master both the technology and this specific framework.
What makes hiring in Switzerland different
Main employment hubs: Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, Basel, Zurich, Lugano
A market organised by language region: French-speaking Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne), German-speaking Switzerland (Zurich, Basel, Bern) and Ticino (Lugano). French, German, Italian and English carry different weight from one role to another.
High-demand sectors: banking and wealth management, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and international organisations in Geneva.
Candidates approached wherever they are: in Switzerland first, but also among cross-border commuters from neighbouring countries and international experts ready to join Geneva, Lausanne or Zurich.

Frequently asked questions
Do you also recruit cross-border commuters for roles in Switzerland?
Yes, in addition to candidates living in Switzerland. From the very first conversation, we check the candidate’s situation (place of residence, work permit, remote-work rules for cross-border workers) to avoid surprises at the end of the process.
Do you work in German-speaking Switzerland?
Yes. The working language is one of the criteria defined at the scoping stage: a role in Zurich or Basel is not recruited with the same requirements as a role in Geneva.
What are your fees?
With Cybermatch Collective, our fee is 20% of the successful candidate’s gross annual salary, charged on success only. For leadership roles handled through executive search, we work on a retainer paid in three instalments (launch, signed offer, end of probation), capped at 28%.
